Tow Force Monitoring System
SiPsHitch™ is designed to assist in the prevention of shear pin breakage and aircraft nose gear damage that often occurs during towing. It visually and audibly alerts the operator of potential shear pin breakage or impending hazard to the landing gear BEFORE it happens. The system records aircraft tail numbers, aircraft movement details and stress event logs; it can even restrict tractor power output prior to overstress and damage to the aircraft nose gear.
